Duo arrested, stolen items recovered following armed robbery

Two men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of 19-year-old Yogeswar Seemangal of Land of Canan, East Bank Demerara (EBD) and the items stolen from him have been recovered. According to reports, at around 20:45h on Tuesday, he victim was walking along Cornhill Street, Georgetown when he was confronted by three men, one of whom was armed with a cutlass. The perpetrators took away his haversack along with a mobile phone and a pair of earpods before making good their escape.
